I absolutely loved working with the people at the Mildred D. Brown Memorial Study Center. This is a group devoted to inspiring careers in writing and journalism in Omaha-area youth – especially African-americans. They have a great junior journalist program as well as numerous scholarships available. Perhaps the best part of working on this website was learning about Mildred D. Brown herself. What a woman!
